While preparing this summer’s issue of SEPP/Joséphine 2025, one thing became clear: alongside bringing Christelle Kocher onto our team, we needed designer Fabio Quaranta to join the game as well. He and his team in Milan have been steadily developing Urania Edizioni: Soccer Edition for some time now. They scour Italian flea markets, hunting down discarded soccer jerseys and give them a new life. Think ready-mades rather than producing new garments from scratch — a smart and sustainable response to fast-moving trend cycles, which currently happen to favor football jerseys, as we’ve seen all across Europe. Said and done, we quickly had 20 of Quaranta’s Urania Soccer Edition jerseys hanging in our Berlin HQ, the Berolina Mitte soccer field conveniently situated just around the corner and 15 of Berlin’s freshest faces invited for a Football Fashion Go-See photographed by Julia von der Heide.
