Boucheron’s latest

A fresh breeze on Place Vendôme

Ever since Boucheron appointed Hélène Poulit-Duquesne as CEO and Claire Choisne as Creative Director in 2015, the historical jewelry house has gone about a major refreshment like the new ad campaign which brings together photographer David Sims and former Vogue Paris editor Emmanuelle Alt as stylist.

From the recent haute joaillerie collection “Carte Blanche – Ailleurs”, a piece got our special attention: a single earring in the shape of an octopus with mother-of-pearl and diamonds. You could almost see the mollusk in motion. Here, you can see it starring on Gucci campaign and runway model Metta Irebe in front of the lens of Julia von der Heide.

Choisne brings unexpected materials to the Boucheron canon. In the graduate of the prestigious École de la rue du Louvre’s hands what is considered useless can have value and be turned into something precious. She did it with the capsule “Jack de Boucheron Ultime” featuring a very uncommon material: Cofalit® which is made by recycling an industrial byproduct used as a filling for highway embankments. The waste is habitually buried, but it can also be vitrified and rendered inert to produce Cofalit®. This is clearly adding to Boucheron’s commitment to sustainable development.

“I believe that such curiosity, flexibility, and the ability to innovate in a sector as traditional as high jewelry will be essential qualities in transforming our company for a more sustainable future,” states Poulit-Duquesne, CEO of Boucheron.

Photographer Julia von der Heide and top model Kati Nescher also give us a glance at this capsule collection in the latest FAZ Magazin jewelry special.
